Children are the future and a community's investment in its youth can be returned tenfold. In Novato, the community has lent strong and growing support to Hamilton by providing volunteers, materials, and funding for our students and programs. Our major community partners are listed below.

School Environment Education Docent (SEED)

SEED provides grants to Hamilton to support its life, physical, and earth sciences. Parent volunteers teach a monthly lesson and help students care for garden plots.

Washington Mutual Bank (Vintage Oaks)

Washington Mutual Bank provides student enrichment with the WaMoola program. Via a weekly on-site bank day, students gain hands-on lessons about financial responsibility and savings.

Marin County School Volunteers

Marin County School Volunteers provide trained community volunteers to schools. This program provides additional academic enrichment for students by matching specific needs to teachers.

Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.)

This program for 5th graders is sponsored by the Marin County Sheriff's Department.

Marin Conservation Corps

This group provides environmental education and, in particular, implements a comprehensive recycling program.

Dominican University Student Teacher Program

Dominican University has had a long partnership with Hamilton School in the area of State Teacher Credential Program. Dominican students in the credential program visit Hamilton for extended periods of time to gain practical classroom experience.

Corporate Giving

Donations from local businesses is a necessary component to providing enriched education to our students. Numerous businesses throughout Novato have given funds, goods, or services to recently build a Kindergarten playground, update technology labs, beautify the campus, complete the safety requirements, and sponsor the annual Author's Day or Jog-a-thon.
