Help Hamilton School Prepare for "The Big One"

Your PTA Emergency Preparedness Committee is developing long-term goals to make sure the school and its community members are educated and ready to meet any disaster and keep your child safe and comfortable.

This year the PTA is paying for on-going replenishment of emergency food bars and water pouches… BUT we can’t stop there!! See our Emergency Supply Drive flyer for information on how you can help.

Welcome to Hamilton School!

We are a neighborhood school located just inside the historic arches of the old Hamilton Air Force Base on the western shore of San Pablo Bay in Novato, California.  We reside on one of the largest and most successful converted military bases in the world and the largest Wetlands Restoration Project on the West Coast. Like our rich past and creative community, we too have a strong vision and mission for Hamilton.

We are committed to an environment of abundant, energizing learning for every child; with specific attention to Individual achievement and proficiency.

As the most diverse school in Novato, we celebrate our uniqueness and the special opportunity we have to prepare our children for our changing world inside and outside of our school environment.

The children, staff & administration, our families, our community, and our local businesses all join in assuring the quality of learning and experience for our next generation.

Recycling & Collection at Hamilton

Hello Hamilton Families! I was thrilled with the result of our recycling collection last year, and I know this year can show an even bigger turnout. Last year we successfully kept about 2,000 corks, 2,000 batteries, 200 glue sticks, 100 printer cartridges, and 15 cell phones out of landfills.

Look for a container outside the school on August 19th and 20th (class list day and the 1st day of school) to drop off your summer collections, and continue to send items to school with your child throughout the year.

Thank you, and I hope you had a fun, relaxing, and green summer!

- Marie Hoag, 2nd grade teacher

Support School Fuel

School Fuel has recently signed up with www.goodsearch.com - a search engine (powered by Yahoo) that actually donates money every time a search is conducted. It is very easy and takes less than a minute to set it up. Instead of using Yahoo or Google when doing searches on the Internet, please use www.goodsearch.com. You can even set it on your toolbar! Remember to enter School Fuel as your chosen charity.

The goal is to get every NUSD school using this search engine with School Fuel as the chosen charity. The money raised could be quite substantial. REMEMBER: School Fuel helps ALL Novato Public Schools and is able to hire staff; something we as PTA’S are not able to do. Spread the word, tell your friends and relatives about it!
